Job Summary/Objective  Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, the Truck Driver position is responsible for transporting materials to and from locations within the Goodwill of Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas locations. This includes assisting in loading and unloading trucks as needed.    Essential Functions  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  - Transporting materials between ROC (Goodwill Outlet) and retail or donation locations per assigned schedule. - Assisting in loading and unloading trailers as needed which could include pushing and pulling up to 200 lbs with provided equipment (includes pallet jacks and fork lift). - Expediting the movement of materials for donation drives or special events. - Assuming accountability for the security of merchandise while in their possession.  - Performing daily pre-trip & post-trip inspections of vehicles.    - Operating and maintaining the truck (generally a box truck) in accordance with Federal and state DOT laws and traffic regulations.  - Following DOT procedures relating to accidents, property damage, drug testing and loading/unloading.   - Maintaining a working knowledge of DOT laws and regulations pertaining to safety and compliance. - Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures.  - Sharing responsibility for the safety and security of the tractors and trailers.  - Communicating safety and maintenance issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution.  - All other duties assigned.    Work Environment  This job operates in a transportation and warehouse environment across multiple locations.   Physical Demand  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The employee must have the ability to communicate verbally and apply active listening skills and bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach, and stand as necessary.  This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull medium weight up to 50 pounds; push and pull up to 200 lbs with provided equipment. Security: - Monitoring video surveillance as needed. - Reporting safety and security deficiencies to store management and direct supervisor. - Prevent internal and external theft by maintaining a visual presence on sales floor at all times. - Communicate with store management and store personnel regarding security and safety concerns. - Resolve conflict between customers and store personal in a professional manner. - Consult with store management in determining when a customer is removed from the store or when law enforcement presence is necessary. - Conduct receipt checks to determine if merchandise has been paid for. - Conduct basic shoplifting investigations on customers under the direction of the Loss Prevention Director. Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Associate is responsible for sorting, pricing and preparing merchandise for sale according to production and workflow standards. Production - Meeting and exceeding production standards per hours worked unless assigned to other tasks. - Shares responsibility, based on store needs, in stocking the production station. - Ensuring loss prevention and process flow guidelines are followed - Meet or exceed 75 soflines per hour / 88 hardlines per hour - 50% of production goal in one week after training ends - 60% of production goal in three weeks after training ends - 80% of production goal six weeks after training ends - 100% or production goal eight weeks after training ends Operational - Maintaining appropriate security of cash and donated goods - Operate register, as directed - Complying to Agency policies and procedures - Ensuring a high level of customer service both front and back Safety - Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures - Ensuring the physical safety of the back room and sales floor - Preparing for production station before and cleaning the station after every shift - Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution
