  • Responsibilities

    These positions are responsible for the supervision of all employees and the day to day operations of a retail location that processes donations which are sold in store to generate revenue for the Agency’s mission. These may include: financial, personnel, production and safety related duties to include but not limited to:

    • Set example for store personnel in demonstrated knowledge and administration of Agency policies and procedures.  Adhere to established policies as they pertain to communication, conduct and employee rights
    • May write and issue disciplinaries 
    • Interview and hire experience
    • Maintain proper key control
    • Assist in overseeing the store's loss prevention, security and safety programs
    • Assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels, allowing for enough coverage to ensure efficient operation during store hours, quality customer service is provided and the Agency’s assets are adequately protected
    • Properly issue verbal and other disciplinary actions
    • Effective and timely communication to all Agency employees and departments
    • Follow cash-handling procedures 
    • Strict adherence to Agency stock rotation procedures and inventory control methods
    • Ensure safety, cleanliness and appearance of store both internally and externally
    • Check inventory regularly for quality and quantity contacting the processing department with inventory shortages
    • Demonstrate a willingness to serve on Agency committees as requested
    • Preserve safety of the facility at all times
    • Assist in managing the activities of volunteers and community service workers
    • Make bank drops as necessary or requested


    These positions require someone who has more than one year of experience in supervision, preferably in a retail environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and a college education is preferred. Previous cash handling experience is required. The ability to understand and maintain appropriate ratios of expense, revenue and salaries and the ability to manage processes, systems and people using sound judgment and the ability to make day-to-day decisions without intervention is required. Must be able to pass credit and Motor vehicle records checks and pass a drug screen.
