  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Quest Academy Program Manager, the Quest Academy Paraprofessional position is responsible for the day- to- day classroom and administrative support of the Quest Work Experience and Quest Gateway programs.


    Essential Functions

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Assist in the employment skills training of participants under the direction of the Quest Academy Program Manager and classroom facilitator (s).
    • Support participants with emotional, behavioral, and technological classroom concerns and assist them in developing appropriate workplace skills.
    • Assume responsibility for the intake and orientation procedures of program participants when necessary.
    • Make necessary recommendations to Life Coach team members regarding additional program services and/or external referral sources that support participant employment objectives and self-sustainability goals.
    • Support classroom facilitators with pre and post-employment training data entry and participant record keeping.
    • All other duties assigned by the Quest Academy Program Manager.


    The Quest Academy Paraprofessional will be a proven leader with the following:

    • A high school diploma. An Associate’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Human Resources, or related field is preferred. Substantial experience can be substituted for degree.
    • Have demonstrated ability to work effectively under the direction of others
    • Have demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others
    • Ability to effectively diffuse tense situations or manage crises, as they occur with participants
    • Excellent grammar, spelling, writing and proofreading skills
    • Solid comfort level utilizing computers, including Windows and Internet
    • Valid, current license and insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record
