  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Vice President of Mission Operations, the Career Impact Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations and oversight of the Career Impact Program which is operated out of several locations.  


    Essential Functions

    • Handle day-to-day management decisions with confidence, good judgment and minimal intervention and oversight.
    • Set priorities for the program to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
    • Ensure the program provides quality training and excellent customer service to program clients, with a focus on training and empowerment.
    • Maintain program compliance with policies and procedures, contract requirements, regulatory bodies, grantors reporting information and various government requirements.
    • Recognize inefficient or ineffective processes and make recommendations / discuss with leadership how to improve them.
    • Foster a healthy work environment.
    • Manage the personnel process: hiring, and performance management.
    • Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the Agency.
    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders inside and outside of mission services to increase the effectiveness and improve the reputation of the Agency programs and the impacts made by the Career Impact Program.
    • All other duties assigned by the VP of Mission Operations.


    The Career Impact Program Manager will be a proven leader with the following:

    • Strong leadership experience in the areas of change management, people and program or process management
    • Adaptability skills necessary to navigate difficult personalities, discussions and unknown project end dates
    • Excellent employee relations, leadership and customer service skills
    • Flexibility in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and plan, organize and carry out multiple, detailed tasks
    • Ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and patience
    • Ability to create team cohesiveness and pride in work product
    • Ability to engage and train staff on new policy, procedures and quality processes
    • High integrity with quick follow through, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.
    • Basic understanding of legal requirements regarding employment
    • Ability to draft business correspondence with good spelling, proper grammar and punctuation
    • Microsoft Office and Windows proficiency; 40+ WPM typing speed required
    • A high degree of sensitivity towards all persons with or without different abilities/disadvantages
    • Must have and maintain reliable transportation, clean MVR, valid license and insurance to drive for company-related business
