  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Operations Manager, the warehouse associate is responsible for operation of baling equipment to control excess non-salable merchandise and supply salvage merchandise to external vendors.

     

    Essential Functions

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Operating a stand-alone tipping machine, maintaining consistent bale density
    • Sorting non-bale material from those that are acceptable for baling
    • Placing bales in holding areas
    • Using hand stacker and forklift to load bales onto trailers or move throughout facility
    • Sorting product down to separate salvage lines
    • Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures
    • Ensuring the physical safety of the back room and sales floor
    • Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution
    • All other duties assigned by the Operations Manager

    Qualifications

    The Warehouse Associate will be a proven leader with the following:

    • At least 6 months of work history, unless this is their first job
    • High school diploma or equivalent is not required
    • Avoidance of any conflict of interest with product or customers
    • Appropriate and professional communication and demeanor
    • Ability to remain on task and meet production standards
    • Commitment to mission of the organization
    • Understanding of the importance of the donor and salvage processes and how they support the mission
    • Must be able to tolerate loud noises and dust
    • Must be able to perform all job duties using required safety equipment
    • Ability to become certified to operate a forklift and/or hand stacker
