  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the District Manager, the ADC Supervisor is responsible for supervising and supporting the ADC associates and ensuring that the attended donation centers operate according efficiently and provide excellent customer service. This position requires the ability to supervise people remotely.


    Essential Functions

    • Ensuring and provide a high level of customer service
    • Complying with Agency policies and procedures
    • Ensuring compliance to policies and procedures in attended donation centers
    • Maintaining appropriate security of donated goods
    • Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures
    • Ensuring staff performs duties according to safety expectations and procedures
    • Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution
    • Open, close, and work in attended donation centers as necessary
    • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and ensure accountability of ADC associates for all attended donation centers
    • Flexibly provide support and leadership to special projects
    • All other duties assigned by the District Manager


    The ADC Supervisor will be a proven leader with the following:

    • The incumbent should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in supervision, with remote supervision experience preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required
    • Solid comfort level with utilizing all aspects of computers to complete the job, not limited to: 
      • Windows environment and internet use
      • On-line training and web-based meetings
    • Familiarity with safety requirements in a warehouse/retail environment
    • Understanding of the importance of the donor process and how it supports the mission
    • Confidence in their ability to lead others
    • Strong work ethic, character and integrity
    • A positive, supportive attitude to staff and donors
    • Recognition of and avoidance of any conflict of interest with staff, product or donors
    • Effective, appropriate and professional communication and demeanor
    • Recognition of and adherence to a higher standard as a ADC Supervisor
    • Flexibility in tasks and projects assigned
    • Ability to effectively handle difficult donor issues
    • Ability to supervise people remotely
