  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Graphic Designer, the graphic design production artist plays an important support role in the creative, communications and digital areas of the design process. The production artist's role is geared towards handling creative projects that are close to completion. The production artist will work closely with the designer to manage the implementation of final, produced creative work for marketing communication programs for Goodwill of Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas.


    Essential Functions

    • Assist graphic designer with preparing art files for print or digital use
    • Request quotes from vendors and coordinate production of projects
    • Assist graphic designer with some administrative duties
    • Assist with project timelines and deadline management
    • Organize and maintain files for easy access to all members of the department
    • Conceptualize, design and present design projects
    • Join in marketing team meetings and brainstorming sessions
    • Provide website design support
    • Develop materials for social media
    • Assist with basic photography and videography
    • Maintain the Goodwill brand voice
    • All other duties as assigned by the Graphic Designer


    The Graphic Design Production Artist will be a proven leader with the following:

    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. A combination of education and appropriate experience will be considered.
    • Well-versed in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop 
    • Able to stay organized and maintain a high standard of design quality 
    • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment with constructive feedback from team members
    • Strong attention to detail for communication, graphic design, presentation and final proofs
    • Excellent communication, organizational, time- management and follow up skills
    • Progressive marketer; stays on top of the latest design and marketing trends
