Essential Functions

    • Assist in the daily administration of the Human Resources Department.
    • Ensure HR policies and processes are consistently administered Agency wide.
    • Support the recruiting process. Post vacancies, conduct phone screens, set interview appointments and complete onboarding process with new employees.
    • Recognize and validate data entry to ensure data integrity.
    • Complete internal audits of I-9 filings.
    • Support the HR Department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
    • Provide coaching and conflict resolution to managers and employees and work with the HR team to make recommendations for improvement.
    • Participate and conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
    • Evaluate situations and make optimal and timely decisions.
    • Process unemployment claims and participate in appeals as needed along with maintaining electronic records of cases.
    • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
    • Attend trainings and seminars to stay current in HR laws, legislation and trends.


The Human Resource will be a proven leader with the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
    • PHR/SPHR preferred
    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations.
    • Effective communication skills and a collaborative, flexible style, capable of partnering with others
    • Proven capability to engage with, counsel and influence top management decisions
    • Strong computer skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
    •  Excellent analytical skills
    • A hands-on philosophy, with integrity and a desire to serve in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
    • Experience, commitment and proficiency in developing talent
