Reporting to the Director of Training and Transitional Employment, the Quest Academy Program Manager is responsible for overseeing participant recruitment, intake, and facilitation of Quest Academy programs; Quest Work Experience, Quest Gateway. The Quest Academy Program Manager supervises a team of program facilitators and classroom paraprofessionals. In addition, the Quest Academy Program Manager will serve as the lead classroom facilitator for the Quest Gateway program during the initial implementation phase, year one.


Essential Functions

  • Draft and manage realistic recruitment, budget and key performance metrics for Quest Academy programs.
  • Oversee the identification, recruitment and facilitation of training for Quest Academy programs.
  • Guide the Quest Academy facilitators in developing and routinely updating program curriculum, serving as the backup classroom facilitator in times of need and ensuring participant feedback is solicited and incorporated
  • Serves as an enthusiastic, well-informed agency spokesperson at key events to raise awareness, understanding, and support for agency programs
  • Assists in creating and providing training to staff, board members, and volunteers to meet key performance goals
  • Establish and maintain positive, professional rapport with referral agents, employers, participants and community representatives.
  • Maintain participant information in the participant database and in the case file according to CARF and participant contact standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of participant information.
  • Complete tasks in compliance with all company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders inside and outside of mission services to increase the effectiveness and improve the reputation of Goodwill programs.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Training and Transitional Employment.


The Quest Academy Program Manager will be a proven leader with the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of applicable program management experience. Direct applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven successful experience facilitating adult learners, large groups of diverse constituents
  • Strong knowledge of the workforce development sector, career exploration and career pathways models
  • Experience using and facilitating the use of assistive technology strongly preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently through self-motivation in an unstructured position and with a team and stakeholders from many different areas
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to recognize potential problems within processes and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Microsoft Office and Windows proficiency
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation, clean MVR, valid license and insurance to transport clients and/or drive for company-related business
