The Quality Control Associate shall be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies throughout the salvage operation that will reduce costs, help maintain a safe work environment conducive to maximum production and to ensure highest quality standards are met.  They will help manage the quality and consistency of all salvage recyclables processes and work product along with ensuring accurate tracking of materials and maintenance of records of incoming and outgoing processed materials.


Essential Functions

  • Monitoring janitorial standards compliance for ongoing contracts, reporting results
  • Monitoring contract compliance for regulating agencies, not limited to Ability One
  • Making recommendations based on observations and creating corrective action plans as necessary to ensure compliance
  • Reviewing the performance of janitorial teams to determine effectiveness and ensure quality meets contract standards
  • Reviewing and analyzing effectiveness of QC documents, revising as necessary
  • Assist in developing action plans to correct deficiencies within teams or individuals, reporting results
  • Maintaining QC files in an organized manner, easily accessible to senior management or regulating officials
  • Assist with the maintenance of a Quality Assurance plan
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices as they relate to janitorial standards and quality assurance
  • Providing input into the long-range planning of the Ability One contracts, as they relate to best practices
  • Providing recommendations for training to enhance job-specific skills or increase quality

The Quality Control Associate will be a proven leader with the following:

  • Knowledge of production and quality control of product.
  • Proven history of problem solving and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a proper and professional attitude when interfacing with customers, clients and co-workers.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a culture of safety.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in related field will be considered.
