Responsibilities

Primary Job Function:  This position is responsible for assisting with the direction the day-to-day workflow of the outlet store while leading employees in the performance of their duties.  This role assumes responsibility in the absence of the manager and assistant manager.

 

Financial:

  • Making bank deposits, as required
  • Maintaining appropriate security of cash and keys

Personnel:

  • Leading personnel in the daily completion of job duties
  • Training new associates in procedures and standards, if requested or required
  • Ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
  • Ensure a high level of customer service

Production:

  • Ensuring quick placement of goods to the sales floor, adhering to stock rotation guidelines
  • Assisting with meeting sales numbers as set by divisional management
  • Ensuring loss prevention and process flow guidelines are followed
  • Ensuring merchandise is priced and sorted correctly and appropriate for the outlet customer 

Safety:

  • Ensuring all staff performs duties according to safety expectations and procedures
  • Ensuring the physical safety of the back room and sales floor
  • Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution

Qualifications

Industry Specific:

  • Knowledge of product movement
  • Knowledge of retail shopping environment
  • Commitment to mission of the organization
  • Comfort with handling cash and operation of a cash register
  • Understanding of the importance of the donor process and how it supports the mission

Educational/Technological:

  • The incumbent should have a minimum of 1 year experience in supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college preferred.
  • Solid comfort level with utilizing all aspects of computers to complete the job, not limited to; POS at cash register

Must have valid license, insurance and acceptable driving record, as well as be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
