Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the daily workflow of janitorial duties as outlined on the AbilityOne Federal Contract reporting to the AbilityOne Project Manager and Supervisor. The Team Lead position will do the following on a daily basis (not all inclusive):

 

  • Ensuring cleaning standards are met as they relate to contract performance of work expectations
  • Ensuring assigned tasks are completed in allotted time, utilizing a team approach to complete them
  • Complying with customer requests regarding secure access areas and communicating these to team members
  • Assisting with the preparation of inspections by contracting officials and/or regulatory agencies
  • Transporting teams to and from worksites in a companyvehicle,asneeded,
  • Assigning equipment and supplies to appropriate team members; ensuring supply procedures are followed
  • Providing supports and on-the-job training to janitorial staffs to enhance their ability to gain competitive employment
  • Directly leading janitorial staff in their performance of duties; representing the Agency in a professional way
  • Provide direct labor janitorial work; as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures
  • Ensuring Hazardous Materials and SDS procedures are complied with
  • Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution
  • Ensuring team members have and use appropriate PPE for their positions
  • Assisting the team in completing the tasks within the allotted time
  • Communicating with management regarding issues or concerns with team members
  • Preparing case notes monthly for Case Manager or as requested
  • Performing quality control checks as directed
  • Completing periodic assignments as directed by supervisors
  • Assisting supervisors with communicating daily tasks for employees under their leadership

Ability to follow processes and procedures to protect the security of personnel, supplies and equipment

Maintain or gain janitorial industry specific education

High school diploma or equivalent and solid work history with leadership experience

Proficiency in Windows Office environment, ability to use computer for on-line training

If required at job location, valid license, current insurance and acceptable driving record
