Responsibilities

The GoodWORKS Career Services Associate is responsible for all daily administrative duties for the successful operation of the GoodWORKS Career Center along with providing career development services to assist job seekers in obtaining employment, including interview and resume preparation, vocational goal development, job support techniques and independent job searches. Responsible for client interaction and providing services at the assigned GoodWORKS center, to include, intake, job search assistance and follow-up.

 

Job Duties Include:

  • Assisting clients in receiving self-directed job search assistance through GoodProspects, computers, phone, email, copier & fax.
  • Instructing job seeker on how to set up an email account & assisting with internet job searches & application process.
  • One on one resume writing, interviewing role play &/or basic computer skills.
  • Do daily job searches & update job board with local area job openings available by industry.
  • Ability to answer phone calls, follow up on phone calls & take messages in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with the ability to greet clients/customers in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Refer clients/customers to partner agencies such as VR programs, housing, food, shelter &/or transportation.
  • Access to GoodTraks tutorial & ability to enter, track & update clients progress in the system.

Ability to recognize potential problems within processes and recommend appropriate solutions

 

Qualifications

Qualifications incldue the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation, psychology, communication, education, adult education, human resources, or related field. Some college or work related experience will be considered.
  • Strong background in maintaining relationships between partner agencies
  • Strong need for achievement toward program growth, placement benchmarks and quality of work product
  • Working knowledge of internet search engines, resume writing, customer service
  • Microsoft Office and Windows proficiency, typing ability exceeding 40WPM
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation, clean MVR, valid license and insurance to transport clients and/or drive for company-related business
  • Basic understanding of legal requirements regarding employment
  • Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong, prioritization, and multi-tasking ability
  • Versatility and the ability to juggle several projects simultaneously
  • Effective management of processes and people; strong teamwork qualities
  • Documented experience of drafting business correspondence with good spelling, proper grammar and punctuation
  • Professional, effective conflict resolution skills
